The goal is to take the bounty of seeds from this crop and plant a small field of rice- only in Ohio as they say.
If one reads up on hulling the rice, it is a chore. My goal is to grow it for ornamental purposes as I miss living in Southeast Asia. Wondering what the outcome will be? One may always check my garden blog to see the progress of this agricultural adventure.

Never have I enjoyed hammering in a bearing or seal using a socket. Sure a 10 ton press would be nice but out my price range for occassional use. This little inexpnsive set worked like a champ. Tapping in high quality European bearings into my BMW motorcycle engine was brezze. Yes, of course I put the bearings and seals the freezer before hand.
Don’t let the price fool ya! For motorcycle use this set works perfectly. I felt like a master mechanic when parts drove in absolutely straight. Everyone says just use a socket or wood block. Take my advice, do it right and confidently. Amazing addition to any home workshop. Of course it’s on Amazon as well as millions of other products. I hope my “review lite” helps.

Amatuer, home, and shade tree mechanics do you want to know a secret? If your pulling a bearing read the manufacturer’s manual. Guaranteed they state to heat the case where the bearing is mounted to pull it. BMW motorcycle repair manuals say the case needs to be 250F°!
So yes, this is a Chicomm product but for occasional use to works well. Though a few reviews on Amazon say folks weren’t pleased, I bet they didn’t know what they were doing.
I needed to change four (4) bearings on the started/alternator auxilary shaft on my 1985 BMW Motorcycle. The local dealer charges $225/hour for labor plus insane prices for parts. For twenty five bucks ($25.00) this unit saved the day (and mucho dinero).
Along with a heat gun, you’ll be called a master mechanic by your friends. This worked well indeed and the quality exceeded my expectations. Up your repair game today!
Here in the rust belt the weather is always against us. The window to get things done is small and time to enjoy life so short.
Speed up projects with sufficient heat sych as rusted bolts, pullings bearings, defrosting frozen pipers, and stripping paint are a few favorites.
Why did I wait so long to snag one of tese. For value I chose a name brand and boy am I happy with this Black & Decker unit. Two heat settings and I love the orange color with trying to locate it.
I had to pull a bearing and the repair manual stated the case which held the bearing had to be heated to 250°F!
This unit did the job- no problemo!
Motorcycling Camping in the summer of 1998 in Poland I spent the weekdays in the forests and weekends in the cities. It was a rainy summer and I often arrived back in Warsaw with a slight sold. The darling babushkas would give me 3 shots of vodka with raspeberry syrop right before bedtime. Always worked well.
As winter arrives I cannt do the same for my 90 year old mother. However, I mix up a batch of Polish raspberry tea sweetended with raspberry syrup. As a full time caregiver the more I can do to keep her healthy without using man made chemicals (drugs) the better off she will be.
Here’s my recipe that my mom absoluetly loves (and you will too)!
Boil 16 ounces of water. Once boiling turn heat off, toss in 1 tea bag and cover. Let it steep til cool. I store in a pitcher in the fridge. When needed I pour into a microwaveable mug and heat ~ 1 minute. Then the magic happens, add 1 or 2 tablesppon of raspberry syrup, gently stir and enjoy.
So what is your favorite winter healthy ho t beverage?
A replacement radiator for my 41 year old BMW motorcycle runs $1,003.00! Our good Chinese Communist friends make an affordable replacement. Alternative replacements runs from $140 to $85 on Amazon and $85 to $73 on eBay. I chose the $73 one on eBay of course. The quality exceeded my expectations except for the modification I needed to perform.

Update: After 5 heat cycles to operating temperature no leaks have occured.
I did have to make one modification as one cannot see how the thermostat cap works holding the thermostat in place. One may need to contact the seller ahead of time and request a picture of the thermostat cap off to see how it works. I didn’t , bought the cheapest one and made this modification with a dremel tool.
Saturdays around our home are spent cooking and watching cooking shows for new ideas. As the official house chef it is imprtant to come up with new recipes and as a full-time caregiver have a few moements of relaxtion on a well deserved occasion. What better way than by having a Smoky Bourbon Sour made with smoked maple syrup!

It only takes a 1/2 ounce of the syrup for each cocktail- get ready for a real treat- your worth it!
Just remodeled the garage top to bottom during the traditional hottest week of the year here in NE Ohio. So many stains and holes that it took a lot of labor but alas such satisfaction after the job was complete. This is an actual picture of the completed project.
Wham bam! I used Kilz primer and Kilz Concrete & Garage Floor Paint after reading reviews and seeing a great price point for the products rating. Sure prep is the secret to a great paint job but the final step of using this paint just stunned me at the beauty. All the neighbors have been peeking in and are impressed.
Super Loyal Fan of Motorola Phones
First off I am avoiding Samsung (any and all products) due to the software used on theirSmart Tvs and mobile devices. That stated, Motorola has always given me great performance and durability and a life free of bloatware. They have been around a long time and surely will be there in the future.

I still have many of my old Motorola 3G phones are they are hackable and repurposed as ip webcams, digital speedometers, or replacing bulky repair manuals stored in vehicles when I travel. Never had one fail yet- yippie!

The stock battery for my 2017 Chevy Cruze lasted at imcredible 8 years and four months. I blame it on my C-Tek Battery Charger. My replacement was again an OEM product based on quality and performance. Purchased through Amazon it arrived in 2 days but what really impressed me was the secure packaging. My bet is that it would have survived a drop onto concrete from the roof of my house- good on ya ACDelco and Amazon. Arrived with 12.6 volts, usable but again using my C-tek battery charger to ensure a full charge. Battery production date was current so I got new stock at a fabulous price.
